1. RESEARCH!!!!!- Always research a person you are planning on trading with. Often times a simple EA search is all someone needs to find out a guy is very sketchy. Go here: forum.ea.com/eaforum/forums/show/4157.page and type their username/gamertag in the search bar and hit enter. If a guy has no history then you should not be going first for an unproven trader! 2. Ask about a person in Live Chat- There are hundreds of well respected, legit members on this site who know a lot of ppl and can often times give you background information on names in seconds. 3. Check Gamertags!- Click on a members name and view their profile to find the Gamertag they provided. If this Gamertag does not match the one you are attempting to trade with please contact a staff member immediately. 4. Check Vouch Threads- It is always wise to view a members vouch thread before going first in a deal. Vouch threads tell a lot about a members trading history. A member with little to no vouches has not earned a reputation to demand others to go first. 5. Use a Middle Man!- If you have any apprehensions about trusting a member here or anywhere else, get a Middle Man! There are plenty of Elite/Legendary traders here that it is nearly impossible to not find one name both traders agree is legit to MM the deal. I encourage any member trading with a grey member who will not go first to use a MM. Typically scammers will refuse all MM and this is a huge warning sign of their true intentions.
